Jackie Lee Woollums, age 64, of rural Albia, Iowa died Friday, October 26, 2007 on his farm in Monroe County. Jack was born July 25, 1943, in Ottumwa, Iowa to Russell and Juanita Louise (Collet) Woollums. Jack was a graduate of Albia High School and after school he married Susan Hoover in 1964. To this union three children were born; Jeffrey, Tommy, and Brenda Woollums. They later divorced in 1977. Jack married Joyce Goodvin in 1977. They divorced in 1990. Jack later married Gail Lynn Schwering on July 3, 2004. To this union Jack?s family grew to include; Shannon Leland, Chad Lursen, Garrett Lursen, Megan Lursen. Jack loved and cared for them. Jack worked in several occupations during his life; he worked on the railroad, he dairy farmed, and did carpenter work. For the last several years Jack row cropped and cattle farmed. Jack was also a charter member of the Eagles club in Albia, and he enjoyed bowling, and hunting. Jack also enjoyed watching sports, especially when his grandchildren were involved. Jack is survived by his wife, Gail Woollums of rural Albia; his children, Tommy Woollums of Osceola, Brenda Woollums of Chariton, Shannon Leland of Hampton, Chad Lursen of Coralville, and Garrett and Megan Lursen both of rural Albia; and six grandchildren. Jack is also survived by several siblings, LeRoy Woollums of Albia, Vercil Woollums of Ottumwa, Ed Woollums of Drakesville, Bill Woollums of Albia, Warren Woollums of Albia, Pat Anderson of Ottumwa, and Judy Bequeaith of Hannibal, Missourri. Jack is preceded by his parents, Russell and Juanita; one son, Jeffrey Allen Woollums; and one sister, Wanda Selby.
