Helen Marie (Mavin) Frazier

Helen Marie (Mavin) Frazier, age 89, of Knoxville, Iowa, passed away on April 23, 2022, at WestRidge Specialty Care in Knoxville. Helen was born on March 23, 1933, in Knoxville, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Nora (King) Mavin. She attended school in Attica until the 5th grade and finished her education in Knoxville. Helen was united in marriage to Fred Frazier, Jr. on October 16, 1949. They were blessed with three children, Ronald, Russell, and Lisa. Helen and Fred enjoyed 45 years of marriage before Fred’s passing on November 10, 1994. Helen was employed at 3M for several years as a fork truck driver and retired from there. She enjoyed playing cards, dominoes, and bingo. Helen volunteered at the First Presbyterian Church for many years and was also involved with the youth groups there. She also enjoyed volunteering at the local election polls. Helen was a fantastic cook, and her family fondly remembers the Sunday dinners she would make.
