Gary David Mart

Gary David Mart was found at his home May 15, 2023, in Des Moines, Iowa. Cremation arrangements were handled by Pierschbacher Funeral Home, Chariton, Iowa. Graveside services will be held at a later date at the Dallas, Iowa Cemetery.

Gary was born to Gerald and Beatrice (Breese) Mart on July 17, 1959, in Knoxville, Iowa. He had nine brothers and two sisters. His children, David Mart and Amy Mart, live in Mississippi. His two grandsons are John and Micah Mart.

Gary managed grocery stores in Iowa, Texas, and Mississippi. He worked at Pella Windows, other factories, and later AARP Senior Employment. He enjoyed biking, fishing, and grilling. He attended the United Methodist Church growing up in Dallas, Iowa. He prayed for his family every day.
