A Celebration of Life Service for Frank Campbell, 82, of Chariton will be held Friday, October 2, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Chariton. A graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. at the Cambria Cemetery on Saturday, October 3rd. Frank Laurel Campbell was born December 13, 1932 to Kathryn [ Gartin ] and Arthur Campbell. He died at his rural home in Lucas County on September 25, 2015 at the age of 82 years. Frank was the third of four children. Siblings are Mildred Swanson, Carl and Richard Campbell. He grew up on a family farm in the Derby area. At age 11, he began to work as a farm hand for neighbors and friends. He continued this work through high school. Frank attended country schools and Cambria Consolidate School. He graduated from Cambria in 1950. Frank married Barbara Iline Mead in October of 1952. He entered the US Army in 1952. He served in the Korea Conflict and was discharged in January 1954. He immediately began farming in the Cambria/Humeston area. Frank and Iline's four children are Daniel, Angela, Paul, and Andrew. Frank loved the farm life, raising crops, cattle and horses. In September 1987, he married Kathy Knutson. They had one son, Seth Campbell. For the past 20 years, Donna Iaacson has been his loving companion. Frank is survived by his children: Angela (Roger) Campbell Baugher of Jefferson City, MO., Paul Campbell of Chariton, Andrew Campbell of Wichita, KS, and Seth Campbell of Fort Dodge; daughter-in-law, Deborah (Randy) Hullinger; nine grandchildren are: Tyler Campbell , Brooke(Matt) Crooks, Jami Frush, Russ Baugher, Jeff Campbell (fiancée Janie Burkhead), Calieb Kistler (fiancée Cheyene Strom), Rian Campbell, Zach Campbell, and Randi (Clinton) Owens; four great grandchildren: Cohen Crooks, Jayla Campbell, Carsen Miller, Carli Campbell. Also surviving are his sister, Mildred Swanson; brother, Carl Campbell; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Preceding Frank in death are his son, Daniel; brother, Richard; brother-in-law, Ernest Swanson; nephews: Kenny and Donald Campbell; and his parents, Kathryn and Art Campbell.
