Eric Dean Ohnemus

Eric Dean Ohnemus, 62, of Grimes, passed away December 24, 2020 at home surrounded by his family. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 2, 2021 from 10:00 until 12:00 p.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Milo. Graveside services will be held at a later date at the Belmont Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Eric Ohnemus Memorial Car Show. Per Iowa corona virus guidelines, facemasks are required. Eric was born the son of Dean and Juanita Six Ohnemus on November 15, 1958 in Milo, Iowa. He grew up in Milo and graduated from Southeast Warren High School where he was an avid athlete in wrestling and pole vaulting. He worked about 35 years at Eagle Iron Works. He was really into horseshoes, the Raiders, pool, cribbage, trivia, sports cars, motorcycles, and weightlifting where he was a 12 times State Powerlifting Champion. He loved spending time with family and friends. He always had a story to tell. He really enjoyed traveling, seeing things on his bucket list, and going to Nebraska football games with the love of his life, Patricia. He always loved returning to Milo, especially for the 4th of July celebration. He is survived by his significant other Patricia Robison; three daughters, The VLO's: Veronica, Venessa, and Victoria; stepdaughters: Jill and Jennifer; his mother Juanita; three brothers: Guy, Max, and Joe; two sisters: Patricia and Shelia; 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
