Ellie Mae Davis

Elsie Mae (Peterson) Davis, formerly of Bussey, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
Elsie was born on February 3, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of George and Hilda (Maki) Peterson. Elsie was united in marriage to Dale Gullion, and to this union three children were born, James, Kenneth, and Rhonda. In 1968, they bought a farm and moved to the Bussey area. They were blessed with 22 years of marriage before his passing, Elsie was later united in marriage to Harold Davis. They enjoyed 22 years of marriage before his passing in 2016.
Elsie held various jobs throught her working career, the last being the Activity Director at WestRidge Manor in Knoxville. She enjoyed listening to music and dancing, working on puzzle books, visiting with friends and family, going for drives with her husband Harold, and loved butterflies.
Those left to cherish Elsie’s memory include her son, Kenneth Dale Gullion (Oletha Nichols) of Lineville, Iowa; grandson, Kenneth Michael Gullion of Tennessee; nephew, Wes Peterson of Illinois; also many great nieces, nephews, and friends.
Elsie is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Dale Gullion; second husband, Harold Davis; son, James Gullion; and daughter, Rhonda Gullion-Mora.
Visitation for Elsie will be held on Monday, August 2, 2021 at the Winfield Funeral Home in Knoxville, Iowa from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at 10:30 A.M. also at the Winfield Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Gullion Cemetery in Attica. Following burial, a luncheon will be held at the funeral home.
