Elizabeth "Betty" Lou Burt

Elizabeth (Betty) Lou Burt was born December 29, 1931 and passed away on January 24, 2021. Per Betty's wish, she was cremated under the care of Pierschbacher Funeral Home and a private family burial will be held at the Dallas Cemetery in Melcher-Dallas, Iowa at a later date. Betty's family would like to thank you for your support during this difficult time. Betty was born in Melcher, Iowa. She grew up there and graduated from Melcher High School in 1950. Betty married Lawrence (Larry) Burt on April 13, 1951. They were blessed with two sons: Stephen and Stanley, and three grandchildren: Mason, Micha, and Tyler. Betty was a homemaker which she really enjoyed. Spending time with her family meant so much to her. Betty also loved working in her yard. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Larry; son, Stephen; parents, Jim and Alice VanderEcken; 5 brothers: Kenneth, Junior, Phillip, Charlton and George; and 3 sisters: Margaret, Marie, and Mary Alice.
