Eileen Hall

A Memorial Service for Eileen Hall will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the home of Steve and Avis Goben (46657 235th Trail, Chariton).

Eileen Loree Hall, 71, of Boone, Iowa passed away Wednesday February 24, 2021. Memorials may be made in care of the family to be designated at a later date to honor Eileen's life. Eileen was born August 16, 1949 to Arthur and Mary O'Dell Chase in Albia, Iowa. She grew up south of Russell on a farm. She attended country school through the third grade, then Russell School until graduating in the Class of 1967. After high school, she attended Americana Beauty School in Des Moines, IA where she earned her Beauticians license. Later in life, she worked for Walmart in Boone for 30 years. She met John Hall on a blind date in Boone. Six months later, they married on November 1, 1969 and were blessed with daughters, Terri and Jerri. Eileen was a woman who enjoyed gardening, canning, outdoor activities and sewing. Her creations included quilts, dresses, and jammies - which were often given as gifts to family and friends. She was a great cook; her specialty was comfort food. John and Eileen enjoyed getting lost together on Sunday drives and spending time in nature. She loved fishing and would more often than not catch more fish than John. They believed in the good life and that is exactly what they had. She will be deeply missed by her husband John; daughters: Terri (Brian) Shuster and Jerri (Scott) Pearson; grandchildren: Lyndsay, Grant, Collin, Chloe, and Ryland; brothers: Robert (Barbara) Chase and Larry (Linda) Chase. Eileen is preceded in death by her parents, and infant twin sister Darlene.
