Earlyn Pulse

Earlyn Louise Pulse, 76 of Chariton, Iowa passed away on June 6, 2023. She was born on December 8, 1946, in Des Moines, Iowa to Leonard and Betty (Thompson) Sudbrock. A Celebration of Life will be held by the family on Saturday, August 12, 2023, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Chariton Community Center.

Earlyn was a very loving and independent woman. She was always a hard worker, mostly working in factories. She retired from Osceola Foods where she worked in meat production.

She had a feisty personality that matched her strong and fearless nature. Earlyn showed kindness and love toward everyone she met. As a country girl at heart who loved the outdoors, she enjoyed hobbies like fishing and camping. She also hunted deer and coon her entire life. In addition to spending time outside, she had an appreciation for listening to Elvis Presley and Rodney Carrington, watching old westerns and scary movies, and WWE (The Undertaker was her absolute favorite).

Above all else, Earlyn treasured her family and friends - especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her children: Steven Bacon, Monica (Erik) Baker, Malena Pulse, and Melissa (Charlie) Musick; grandchildren: Travis Scovel, Sabrina (Johnny) Swarthout, Carolyn Musick, Jenna Fields, Kira Musick, Alyssa (Josh) Goben, and Savannah Pulse; great-grandchildren: Connor Edwards, Caden Herrera, Ayda Karn, Jace Karn, Oliver Scovel, and Legend Johnson; siblings: Ricky, Gladyse, Twila, Buddy, Ray, Sherry, Karen and Linda; as well as many other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty, and her brother, Earnie.
