Earle W. Pettinger Jr.

Earle W. Pettinger Jr., 84, passed away December 24, 2021, after losing the battle with bladder cancer.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Chariton, Iowa, on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. Family will greet friends an hour prior to the service at 1:00 p.m. and after the service as well.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Lucas Fire Department or the Norwood United Methodist Church.
Reflections of moments Earle enjoyed were all things football, reading, annual antique sales, auctions, playing cards, hunting, yard and garden care, sports, history, slot machines, hard work, and close family and friends.
Earle is survived by his daughters: Linda Woods (husband Dick and son Brennen) and Lisa Potter (husband Dave and son Trevor); 5 extended grandchildren; 11 extended great grandchildren; 3 siblings: Shirley, Dale, and Eugene; and additional family members and special friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earle Sr. and Estaleene, and siblings, Stephen and Jacqueline.
