Dorothie Blubaugh Stull, 88, of Melcher-Dallas passed away on February 1, 2023. A family graveside service will be held May 19th at 11:00 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Knoxville. A luncheon will follow at Auld Park in Knoxville.
Dorothie Alice Breese was born on October 13, 1934, to Lee and Hildred (Jones) Breese of Melcher-Iowa. She grew up in Dallas, graduating with the class of 1952. She married Rev. Jack Blubaugh, and the couple was blessed with 5 children: David, Danny, Terry, Chris, and Lisa. She was a loving homemaker and spent much of her time assisting Jack with church activities. Jack passed away in May 2003.
Dorothie married Keith Stull and the couple stayed active in the church. She was a true servant for God. She truly walked by her deep faith each and every day of her life. Keith passed away in December 2021.
Dorothie enjoyed playing the piano. She never learned to read music, but instead could play anything by ear. She had a true talent. She could love like no other, and her children and grandchildren could attest to this quality. She loved them all deeply. Her laugh was contagious and could truly light up a room.
Dorothie will be dearly missed and forever loved by her children; 12 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren; as well as many other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Hildred; husband, Jack Blubaugh; daughter, Christina; husband, Keith Stull; brothers, Don and David Breese; sisters: Beatrice Murphy, Violet Reynolds, and Margaret Breese.
