Donna Jean Pfrimmer

Donna Jean Pfrimmer, 93, of Chariton, Iowa passed away on December 24, 2023. Per her wishes, no services are planned. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Chariton Library.

Donna was born on April 4, 1930, to Jacie Wayne and Mary Ruth (Swim) Pence in Truax, Iowa. When she was younger, she loved to sing and play the guitar on stage and radio. She even recorded a couple of records.

Donna was united in marriage to Robert Saxon Pfrimmer on June 14, 1944, and the couple was blessed with 2 daughters, Sharon and Joyce.

Donna worked as a nurse aid for many years while also helping run the farm. For several years, she was a volunteer for the Chariton Library and the Senior Center. In her free time, she really enjoyed reading and doing puzzles.

Donna will be missed by her daughter, Joyce (David) Coleman of Gladewater, Texas, 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren, 3 great-great-great grandchildren; and sisters, Norma Bosley and Rosemary Garrison.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Mary; husband, Robert; daughter, Sharon Garrison; brothers, David and William “Bill” Pence; and sister, LaVerne “Reatha” Evans.
