Donna Rae (Johnson) Frost

Donna Rae (Johnson) Frost, age 68, of Malcom, Iowa, (formerly of Knoxville), passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
Donna’s wishes were to be cremated. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 6, 2022, at the Winfield Funeral Home in Knoxville from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Donna’s family will be present to greet friends and relatives from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Burial will take place on a later date at Highland Cemetery.
Donna was born on June 27, 1953, in Oskaloosa, Iowa, the daughter of Robert and Josie (Hallibarton) Johnson. She grew up in Oskaloosa and attended Oskaloosa High School.
Donna was united in marriage to Gerald “Jerry” Frost on August 28, 1970, and to this union two children were born, Dawn and Mary Jo. Donna and Jerry were blessed with 37 years of marriage before his passing in 2008.
Donna was employed at Jerry’s Service Station and Bussey General Store. She later worked at 3M. Donna enjoyed crafting, sewing, playing games, and spending time with her family. Donna and Jerry also enjoyed fishing and camping. Donna was involved in genealogy and was a member of the genealogy group that was known as “GG”. Donna was also a leader for Girl Scouts and a member of the 3M Club.
Those left to cherish Donna’s memory include her children, Dawn (Brad) Hamilton of Malcom, Iowa, and Mary Jo Frost of Knoxville; three grandchildren, Austin (Angie) Hamilton, Joey Frost, and Breezy Hamilton; one great-grandchild, Aubree; one sister-in-law, Tricia Burk; and several nieces and nephews.
Donna is preceded in death by her parents; Robert and Josie Johnson; husband, Jerry Frost; and three sisters, Lynn (Bernie) Ruskey, Beverly Christner, and Bobbie (Harold) Martin.
