Donald Kipfer

Donald Dean Kipfer, age 73, of Albia, Iowa died Satuday, September 16, 2006 at the Monroe Care Center in Albia, Iowa due to a long battle with multiple sclerosis. He was born August 29, 1933 in Knoke, Iowa to David and Mary (Dischler) Kipfer. He married Neva Williams on April 29th 1961 in Ottumwa, Iowa. Donald graduated from Albia High School, class of 1951. He was a farmer, and also worked for Goode Seed & Feed for 29 years. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Albia. Donald was a former member of the Albia Eagles Club, and had been living at the Monroe Care Center for one year and four months. He is survived by his family; Neva Kipfer of Albia, Iowa. Children; Donald and (Lori) Kipfer Jr. of Albia, and Tim and (Teresa) Kipfer of Albia. Five grandchildren, Ashley and (Andy) Himes of Honolulu, HI, Tyler, Nicholas, Aron, and Leah Kipfer all of Albia, Iowa, and one nephew, David Kipfer also survive Donald. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, David and Mary, one sister, Mary Ann Kipfer, and brother Luverne Kipfer. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at the Winfield Funeral Home in Albia with Rev. Kevin Leveck officiating. Burial will be in Selection Cemetery in Monroe County. Visitation will be held Monday, September 18, 2006 beginning at 2:00 P.M. and the family will be present from 6:00 ? 8:00 P.M. Monday Evening. Memorials may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society
