Diane Dillard

A visitation for Diane Dillard, of Chariton, will be Thursday, August 5, 2021, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Chariton. A committal service will be Friday, August 6, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at the Corydon Cemetery. Memorials may be made in care of Diane’s family.

Diane Bunkofske was born October 28, 1946, to Clarence and Marjorie Bunkofske in Corydon, Iowa. She was raised in Corydon alongside her siblings, Gloria and Marvin. Diane graduated from Corydon High School with the class of 1964.

After graduation, Diane took a job with the Northwestern Bell Telephone Company in Omaha, Nebraska. That same year, she was united in marriage to Tracy Dillard. The couple was blessed with two sons, Gary and Bill.

Diane worked for Levis Insurance for over thirty years. She really enjoyed her job. When she wasn’t working, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a very social person with a great group of friends. Diane was also an avid sports fan, especially when it came to Hawkeye football.

Diane passed away July 20, 2021, at the age of 74. She will be dearly missed by her sons, Gary Dillard and Bill Dillard; grandchildren, Christopher and Regina; along with nieces and nephews. Diane was preceded in death by her siblings, Gloria Patterson and Marvin Bunkofske.
