A Celebration of Life Gathering for Diana Lynne DeHeer will be held Wednesday, September 25, 2019 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Melcher-Dallas. Memorials may be directed to the Melcher-Dallas Rescue Unit. Diana Lynne was born on May 22, 1961 to Marvin "Red" and Martha Wilson in Knoxville, Iowa. Diana was raised alongside her four siblings in Melcher, Iowa. She graduated from Melcher-Dallas High School with the class of 1979. Diana started working for Iowa Workforce Development right out of high school. Her sister, Mary, worked there too. The sisters enjoyed riding to and from work together. Diana was a dedicated employee for thirty-eight years. On April 25, 1987, Diana was united in marriage to Wade DeHeer. The couple made their home in Dallas, Iowa and were blessed with two sons, Brooks and Dylan. Diana was a loving and supportive mother. She never missed a sporting event and was always patient and kind. Diana enjoyed camping, entertaining, and working in her garden. She was known to run around town with her boys sporting shorts and her rubber boots. Above all else, Diana loved spending time with her family. Her great big heart made her the best grandmother to her three granddaughters. Diana passed away September 22, 2019. She will be greatly missed by her husband of 32 years, Wade DeHeer; sons, Brooks (Kelley) DeHeer and Dylan DeHeer; grandchildren: Grace, Sophia, and Cecelia; and siblinsg: Cindy (Dennis) Clark, Mary (Dennis) Piagentini, and Tammie Wilson. Diana was preceded in death by her parents, "Red" and Martha Wilson, and her brother, Kenny Wilson. Celebration of Life
