Funeral services for Dennis W. Johnson, 70, of Chariton will be Thursday, October 3, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Chariton. Family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at the Chariton Cemetery. Memorials are requested to the Legacy Lodge Hospice. Dennis passed away September 28, 2019. Dennis was born July 24, 1949 to Clarence and Adalene Johnson. He spent most of his life in the Chariton area. He is survived by his daughter, Tonja (David) Pardunof Ankeny; 5 grandchildren: Cassandra Johnson (Nate Owens) of Ankeny, Jennifer (Brandon) Clemons of Carlisle, Joseph Johnson and Andrew Johnson, both of Indianola, and Gavin Pardun of Ankeny; and 4 great grandchildren: Wesley and Amelia Owens, Matthew Eoriatti, and Natalie Clemons; his brother, Ricky (Cindy) Johnson of Altoona; along with many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Adalene Johnson; son, Chad Johnson; sister, Patricia Robertson; and brother, Leslie Johnson. Cemetery Details Chariton Cemetery HWY 14 and HWY 34
