Dennis James Adams

Dennis James Adams passed away on July 18, 2023, at the age of 70 In honor of Dennis’s life and memory, visitation services will take place on July 22, 2023, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Pierschbacher Funeral Home, located at 914 Roland Ave., Chariton, IA 50049. The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 11:00 am at the same location.

Dennis was born on October 3, 1952, in Butler, Pennsylvania to James and Wilma Adams. He had a career that spanned over several decades. He started his journey in the workforce in high school, working in a supermarket in East Brady, Pennsylvania. Later in life, he retired as a truck driver with Select Genetics. Apart from his professional life, Dennis had many interests and hobbies that brought him joy throughout his life. He had an undeniable passion for hunting and was an avid archer. Nature was his sanctuary, and he cherished spending time outdoors, soaking in the beauty of the world around him. Dennis loved to cook, and owned Benjamin's Casual Dining in Chariton. Cooking brought him immense pleasure, and he delighted in creating delicious dishes for others to enjoy.

Dennis will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Margaret; and their two children, Ben Adams and Mikayla (Justin) Mendenhall; his sister, Sharon Eckhardt; sister-in-law, Carolyn (Ed) Duckworth; niece, Hayley Eckhardt; and nephew, Hunter Eckhardt.
