Delores Ann Umble, age 89, of Knoxville, Iowa, passed away on February 4, 2022, at her residence.
Delores’ wishes were to be cremated. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at the Greenwood Cemetery in Knoxville at 1:00 P.M. Following service, a luncheon will be held at Church of God in Knoxville.
Delores was born on April 12, 1932, in the Logan, Iowa area, the daughter of Ray and Ethel (Tryann) Dickinson. She was raised there and attended school in the area.
Delores was united in marriage to Milo Durl Umble on April 30, 1949. They shared 67 years of marriage before his passing on March 18, 2017. They were blessed with three children, Michael Kent, Janet, and Peggy.
Delores was employed at Pella Corp (formerly known as Rolscreen), after working at the Overall Factory in Knoxville. She enjoyed sewing, making dolls, crocheting, and gardening. Her greatest joy was her family.
Delores is survived by her daughter, Janet Brungardt of Knoxville; six brothers, Emery, Everette, Adrian, Dale, Dennis, and Carroll Dickinson; and one sister, Christine King. She is also survived by three grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Delores is preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Ethel Dickinson; husband, Milo Umble; daughter, Peggy Smith; son, Michael Umble; three sisters, Pat, Bonnie, and Esta; and one grandson.
