Montezuma

A Celebration of Life for David Ripperger, 56, originally of Lacona, will be held Saturday, November 12, 2022, from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m., at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Lacona.

David Wayne Ripperger was born March 5, 1966, to Wayne and Sara Ripperger in Knoxville, Iowa. David was raised alongside his brothers, Bob and Jonathan. He attended Southeast Warren Community School, graduating in 1984.

David was united in marriage to Lisa Leanhart. The couple was blessed with three sons: Devon, Derek, and Cody. David and Lisa later separated.

David liked working in sales. He worked various jobs throughout the years. He worked on several farms, for Tone’s Spices, for Herschel Parts Inc., at Menards, and at both Pizza Hut and One Stop Sandwich Shop.

Cooking was something that David really enjoyed. He liked to BBQ and smoke meats. He also loved fishing, being around dogs, and driving his VW Bug (although, he pushed it more than he drove it).

David passed away Friday, November 4, 2022. He is survived by his mother, Sara Ripperger; sons: Devon (JoAnn) Ripperger, Derek (Kelsey) Ripperger, and Cody (Jonee) Ripperger; and brother, Bob (Debbie) Ripperger. David was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Ripperger, and his brother, Jonathan Ripperger.
