Cynthia Stickel

Cynthia Stickel, age 63, loving mother of three, adoring wife, and partner to Randy Freemyer, passed away in the early hours of the 18th of December after a courageous battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. Cindy was born in 1959, daughter to Bob and Linda Stickel, in Iowa, and grew up surrounded by her loving family. She had 2 brothers, Brian and Jove Stickel as well as living Aunts and Uncles. Cindy was influenced by her family to be a loving, caring, and compassionate woman, always giving her time to others, and she incorporated that into her motherhood.
Cindy’s working career spanned in several capacities, from creating smiles by working in the service industry to traveling to other states and countries on business trips. She would ultimately find her home running and managing the Cheyenne Menards, allowing her to be closer to some of her grandkids.
Cindy enjoyed several hobbies throughout her life. She spent her time with arts and crafts, sewing, and music (where you would always find her bobbing her head and dancing), but most of all spending time with her family as well as her little dog, Riley.
Cindy is survived by her 3 kids Lindsey (Brooks) Oliver, Cody (Danielle) Freemyer, and Joe (Ellen) Freemyer, her brothers Brian Stickel and Jove Stickel, and her 4 grandchildren Evelyn Freemyer, Emmett Freemyer, Ella Freemyer and Layla Oliver.
Cindy’s Celebration of Life will be held at the Atlantic & Pacific Pub, 105 South 3rd Street in Knoxville, Iowa on March 11th from 2 to 6p.m.
