Connie Lee DeLong

Connie Lee DeLong, 73, of Chariton, passed away on November 28, 2023. Connie’s family has honored her wishes of no funeral services.

Connie was born on July 8, 1950, to Forrest and Dorothy (Stephenson) Henrichs. She was a phlebotomist for many years before retiring. Connie loved many of life’s simpler pleasures. Whether it was watching the birds, seeing a storm roll in, or just sitting on her porch swing, Connie found peace in the little things. Camping and fishing with her family was something she also enjoyed. When she wasn’t enjoying nature, she could be found at home, crocheting, cooking, diamond painting, or playing games on her computer. Anyone who knew Connie could attest to her love of horses. She loved watching them and collected many different pieces which decorated her home.

Left to cherish Connie’s memory are her children: Fred (Stacie) DeLong, Shelly (Jeff) Brown, and Krystal DeLong; grandchildren: Michael, Kim, Makynna, Kayden, Ashley, Chris, Teaira, Temika, Celone, and Tylia; 19 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Rick Henrichs.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob Worthman; and a great-grandson, Matthew Weaver.
