Charles "Chuck" Sytsma

Charles “Chuck” Eugene Sytsma, age 64, of Knoxville, Iowa, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023, at his residence. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at Community Foursquare Church, 1220 E. Pleasant St. Knoxville, Iowa, from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Chuck was born on August 18, 1958, the son of Eugene Ray “Gene” and Jonna Joy (Cook) Sytsma. He grew up in Knoxville and graduated from Knoxville High School, Class of 1977. Chuck was blessed with two children, Zack and Ashley. He worked as a restaurant manager and at the Super 8 Motel. Chuck was an artist, and especially enjoyed pencil sketching and making jewelry. He also liked taking care of his plants and fish. Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Zack Sytsma of Leighton, Iowa, and Ashley Kleinhans, of Cedar Falls, Iowa; sister Nancy (Paul) Briggs of Knoxville; and granddaughter Macie Sytsma.
