Charlene M. Graves

Charlene M. Graves, daughter of Harry and Josephine Oliver, passed away on May 18, 2023, at Lucas County Health Center at 91 years of age.  A celebration of life for Charlene will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at Mike and Marcia Graves’ home, located at 611 North St., Dallas, Iowa 50062, where she resided for 17 years. 

Charlene was born on July 25, 1931.  She was united in marriage to Bill L. Graves on October 2, 1949.  Charlene was a farmer for many years, as well as, a Head Start teacher for 35 years in Chariton. Reading, scrolling through Facebook, looking at photos, and watching all the great grandkids and great-great grandkids were some of the things she enjoyed doing.  Charlene also loved keeping up with her son and grandson’s racing hobbies. 

Charlene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill L. Graves; sister, Frances Irving; and a granddaughter, Dawn Jones. Charlene is survived by her children, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, and a sister, Norma Ramsey.
