Brian Gullion, 56, passed away March 9, 2020 at the Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Chariton with family receiving friends prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m. A luncheon will be held following the services at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Gullion Cemetery near Attica. Memorials may be made to his wife, Tammy Gullion. Brian was born April 11th 1963 in Joliet, Illinois to Lowell "Jr." and Donna Gullion. The family moved from Joliet to Chariton when Brian was 11 years old. Although it was a tough move and he got in to a little trouble growing up, Brian turned his life around. He worked for Sam Irving for over 16 years, learning a lot from Sam and a lot about people. Brian enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting frogs for bait, and just about anything to do with the outdoors. He also enjoyed playing poker with his buddies and playing on pool leagues throughout the years. It was on one of these pool leagues that he met his future wife, Tammy. They were married in September of 2007. Tammy was a great partner to Brian, offering much encouragement and support. They got their CDL's and team drove all over the United States for 12 years with their dog, Sparky. Brian was preceded in death by his daughter, Kayla Gullion. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Tammy; children: Brian Gullion, Carl Stewart, and James (Becca) Stewart; three grandchildren: Brooklyn, Landon, and Bently; siblings: Michele (Steve) Fenton, David (Karen) Randolph, and Chris (Kim) Feehan; father, Lowell "Jr" Gullion; mother, Donna Randolph; many nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and his dog, Sparky.
