Bradley James Heaton, age 50, of rural Knoxville, Iowa, formerly of Sedalia, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2022.
Brad was born on August 28, 1972, in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of James and Arlene Heaton. Brad attended Knoxville High School. Following high school, Brad worked in carpentry and siding houses.
Brad enjoyed playing “bags” with friends, sprint car races, and shooting pool. He also loved spending time with family and friends. Brad was known as the “life of the party” and enjoyed singing.
Those left to cherish Brad’s memory include his daughter, Brittany (Steven) Alvarez of Marshalltown; brother Brian (Dawn) Heaton of Woolstock; and three grandchildren, Sophia, Sydney, and Kobe. Brad is also survived by his canine companion, Charlie, and many extended relatives and friends.
Brad is preceded in death by his parents, James, and Arlene Heaton; grandparents; and one brother in infancy, James Duane Heaton.
Brad’s wishes were to be cremated. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at 10:30 A.M. at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville. Because of Brad's fondness of racing, please feel free to wear racing attire to his service. A luncheon will follow at the Bingley Building at the Marion County Fairgrounds in Knoxville.
