Bonnie B. Geery

Bonnie Bell Geery was born November 21, 1929 in Newton, Iowa to James and Charlotte (Teal) Cooper. Bonnie's parents passed away at a young age, and she was raised by her aunt and uncle in Russell, Iowa. After graduating from Russell High School, Bonnie attended Simpson College and earned her teaching certificate and began teaching in Harvey, Iowa, where she resided with her husband, Orbra. Bonnie will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Bonnie passed away November 30, 2020 at the Comfort House in Pella at the age of 91 years old. Those left to cherish Bonnie's memories are her stepchildren: Steve of Atlanta, GA, Mildred (Greg) Coalbank of Knoxville, IA, along with her children: Mary Bea Horras of Knoxville, IA, Leonard (Linda) Geery of Harvey, IA, Cindy Herman of Pleasant Hill and Chris (Adnan) Elahi of Harvey, IA; grandchildren; great grandchildren; and great great grandchildren. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Orbra; and three stepsons: Keith, Clayton and Doug, Since Bonnie's death, her son-in-law, Donald Horras, has passed away.
