Bob Foltz

Services for Bob Foltz, 61, will be Monday, February 27, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Melcher-Dallas. Interment will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery near Knoxville. Family will receive friends on Sunday, February 26, from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in care of Bob’s family.

Robert Louis Foltz was born February 20, 1962, to Richard and Willidine (Lowe) Foltz in Centerville, Iowa. Bob grew up between Macomb, Illinois and both Centerville and Albia, Iowa. He graduated with the Albia High School class of 1980.

Bob met Tina Payton on a blind date 31 years ago. They quickly fell in love and were united in marriage on December 14, 1991. Bob and Tina were blessed with two sons, Ryan and Roderick.

Bob worked as a machinist for Vermeer for 24 years. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed spending time outdoors. Bob looked forward to hunting, especially coon hunting. He also loved camping with his family and taking his grandchildren fishing. He had a special bond with his grandchildren. Bob spent countless hours sitting and talking with them, building Lego and Play-Doh creations, and making wonderful memories with them.

Bob passed away February 22, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Willidine Foltz.

Bob will be dearly missed by his wife of 31 years, Tina Foltz; children, Ryan (Suzanne) Foltz and Roderick (Bayli) Foltz; grandchildren: Ross, Aaron, Brayden, Zoe, and Roger; his baby boy dog, Browning; along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
