A Graveside Service for Beverly Yvonne (Dougall) Suddith will be held on Monday, May 4, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the Dallas Cemetery near Melcher-Dallas, Iowa. Beverly Yvonne Dougall was born February 1, 1931 to Stella (Rivers) and Clarence Dougall in the Melcher-Dallas area. Beverly spent much of her childhood in Melcher-Dallas, but moved to Des Moines with her mother. Her mother had obtained a job at Fort Des Moines. She attended Lincoln High School and graduated as class valedictorian in 1948. After graduation, she worked for Bankers Life in Des Moines. She was married to Sanford Golden Suddith on September 1, 1953. Beverly went on to further her education at Prairie Business College in Georgia. They traveled with Sanford's work for many years all throughout the country. Beverly said she was good at living out of a suitcase and boxes, often times they'd only stay a few weeks at a time while he worked with the telephone companies. Beverly was always very artistic. She was a talented painter and enjoyed painting reproductions of famous works. She was proud to have some of her painting displayed in New York City. In addition to painting, Beverly enjoyed working around her home. She was an avid antique collector. She especially loved to collect antique dishes and furniture. Beverly was kind and cared deeply for others. She was a proud fifty year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, a fraternal organization that works together for good. They give their time to many projects that benefit mankind. Beverly passed away April 29, 2020 at the age of 89 years 2 months and 28 days. Preceding her in death was her husband, Sanford; and parents: Stella and Clarence. She will be dearly missed by her relatives and friends. Cemetery Details Dallas Cemetery Melcher-Dallas, IA 50062
