Barbara Spinler

Services for Barb will be held on Friday, June 22, 2007 at 10:30 AM at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Chariton. Interment will be in the Confidence Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 21, 2007 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Chariton. Memorials may be directed to the New Providence Baptist Church in Confidence. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.pierschbacherfuneralhome.com Barb was born on March 16, 1934 in Marshalltown, Iowa to Orlie Marsh and Ethel Hildegard (Dreessen) Ellis and passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at Wayne County Hospital at the age of 73 years. She married Dale Spinler on September 25, 1952 in Montour, Iowa. Barb was a very skilled lady and used her abilities to drive a school bus, be a teacher's aide, work in a nursing home, and be a seamstress in Chariton and Corydon. Barb loved going fishing. She enjoyed flowers and porcelain dolls. She liked to travel and quilt. She was constantly quilting for her grandkids. Barb was very faithful to her church. Barb was beautiful and had a very caring personality she would do anything for you. Barb's family was very significant to her. Barb will be deeply missed by her husband, Dale of Russell; three children: Diane (Tom) Fleming of Indianola, Kari (Paula) Spinler of Indianola and Mark (June) Spinler of Chariton; 9 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and sisters: Marjorie Doyle of Tama and Carol Wacha of Newton. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Joyce Gray.
