Barbara Jane Krebs

A Celebration of Life for Barbara Jane Krebs will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2020 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at Faith Independent Assembly of God, 6001 SW 14th Street in Des Moines. Barbara was born in Des Moines, Iowa on December 14, 1944 to George and Ailene Hill. She spent her childhood in southern Iowa and graduated from Southeast Warren High School in 1964. She began working as a waitress after high school, and continued to do that for many years. Barbara spent her free time working on her beloved puzzle books and watching NASCAR and WWE Wrestling; her favorite wrestlers being The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels. She enjoyed reading the tabloid magazines and keeping up with her favorite soap operas every week. Family was very important to Barbara, and she loved spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids. Barbara passed away on February 12, 2020 at the Rehabilitation Center of Des Moines at the age of 75. She is survived by her daughters, Shelby (John) Kokke of Des Moines and Sharon (Patrick) Grace of Palmyra; 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandhchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ailene Hill; and her grandmother, Ethel Motherhead. Memorial contributions may be made directly to the family. Celebration of Life
