Arlene F. Heaton

Arlene F. Heaton, age 70, of Warsaw, Missouri, and formerly of Knoxville, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Missouri. Arlene’s wishes were to be cremated.

Visitation for Arlene will be held on Friday, July 17, 2020 from 10:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M. at the Winfield Funeral Home in Knoxville, with Arlene’s family present from Noon to 2:00 P.M. A graveside memorial service, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville.

Arlene was born on August 15, 1949 in Knoxville, Iowa to Robert and Mildred (Carr) Young and was raised in Hutchinson, Kansas. After high school Arlene moved back to Knoxville, Iowa.

On October 9, 1970, she married James “Jim” Heaton. They had 3 sons, Brian Keith, James Duane, and Bradley James. They had guardianship over Deanna (Davis) Klobnak, who became “Their Girl”. Jim and Arlene divorced in 1977 but continued to be close friends until his death in 1984.

Arlene worked many places during her life, including door to door Avon sales, Pella Corp., Wal-Mart, End Zone Bar, and lastly Wils Home Healthcare.

She and her life partner, Michael Brown moved to the Lake of the Ozarks area around the late 1980’s. She loved lake living so she could entertain her family and friends. She and Mike dissolved their relationship in 2004 but continued to be friends until his passing in 2018.

She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids, they were her world. Arlene was a strict mom,aunt and grandma, but she loved deeply and would give you anything she had if she thought you needed it, even if it meant she did without.

Arlene is preceded in death by her parents, and son James Duane in infancy.

Those left to cherish Arlene’s memory include her children, Brian Heaton (Dawn) of Woolstock, IA, Brad Heaton of Sedalia, MO, and Deanna Klobnak (Tim) of Hamilton, IA; seven grandchildren, Kylie Jo (Brad) Gilbert of Knoxville, IA, Jesse Heaton (Lacey) of Webster City, IA, Sarah Heaton (Brazin Powell) of Vincent, IA, Caitlin Heaton, Ruby Heaton, and Patrick Heaton of Woolstock, IA, and Brittany Alvarez (Steven) of Marshalltown, IA; great-grandchildren, Emerson (Louise) Gilbert, Harlene Heaton, Dominic Heaton, Mazzie Powell, Sophia Alvarez, Sydney Alvarez, and Coby Alvarez. Arlene is also survived by her brother Richard “Rick” Poston (Denise) of Des Moines; and two sisters, Kathy Robuck (Allan) of Knoxville and Christina Binkowski (Bruce) of Boulder, Montana; also many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
