Florence Ann Sinkhorn was born October 21, 1949 to John and Violet Sinkhorn near Forest City, Missouri. Ann grew up alongside her eight siblings near Fairfax, Missouri. In 1967, she graduated from Fairfax High School and was united in marriage to Charles Giesken. Ann worked for a time at home, helping her mother.
Ann and Charles were blessed with six children. She helped to support their family by running a day care in their home. Ann had a big heart and loved children. She was always there to give love and support to any child that needed it. Ann continued to be a caretaker even after her children were grown. She was kind, generous, and self-sacrificing.
The terms strong-willed, spunky, and fighter also described Ann. She enjoyed playing cards with friends and seeking out good garage sales. She loved decorating a shelf for every holiday and drinking egg nog at Christmas. Above all else, she loved time spent with her family.
Ann is survived by her children: Christy Giesken, Charles (Victoria) Giesken, Kerry Giesken, Kelly (Chad) Hickerson, and Nick (Stephanie) Giesken; grandchildren: Tyler Deemer, Trevor (Malaya) Deemer, Victoria (Jay) Stremel, Aerial Giesken, Alyssa Giesken, Gabby Giesken, Marissa Giesken, John Danner, Faith Hickerson, Jonas Hickerson, and Ava Giesken; great grandchildren, Hayden Deemer and Skye Deemer; siblings: Leota (John) Floyd, Melody Hunsucker, Cindy Wilson, Herman (Judi) Sinkhorn, and George (Gail) Sinkhorn; along with many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
