Angeline “Angie” (Van Ryswyk) Hall, age 74, of Knoxville, Iowa, passed away on October 22, 2022, at Pella Comfort House.
Angie was born on July 17, 1948, in Pleasantville, Iowa, the daughter of Willard and Doris (Ackley) Van Ryswyk. Angie was raised in rural Pleasantville on a dairy farm and graduated from Pleasantville High School.
Angie was united in marriage to Ronald Glen Hall on March 9, 1968, at the Columbia Methodist Church. They were blessed with three children, Julie, Jeffrey, and Jennifer. Ron and Angie enjoyed 53 years of marriage before his passing on May 1, 2021.
Angie was employed at the Department of Human Services as an Income Maintenance worker for over 20 years until her retirement. Angie was an avid reader and enjoyed “coffee time” with her friends at Hardee’s. She volunteered at Celebrate Community Church and Riverside Church. Angie’s greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Angie’s wishes were to be cremated. A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at Winfield Funeral Home in Knoxville from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. with family present to greet friends and relatives. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Gosport Cemetery. Following services, a luncheon will be held at Celebrate Community Church in Knoxville.
Those left to cherish Angie’s memory include her father, Willard Van Ryswyk; children, Julie (Tom) Beck of Fruitland Park, FL, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Hall of Lusby, MD, and Jennifer Hall of Knoxville; seven grandchildren, Miranda Sterling, Tommy, Christopher, and Hannah Beck, Persephone Hall, and Presley and Jack Hall; and two great-grandchildren, Sadie and Carly. Angie is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Ronald Hall; her mother, Doris Van Ryswyk; and one brother, Wilbur Van Ryswyk.
