Amber Marie Shinn

Amber Marie Shinn, age 23, of Knoxville, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Saturday, November 16, 2019.
Amber was born on July 15, 1996 in Pella, Iowa, the daughter of Tom and Holly Shinn. Amber was raised, along with her big sister, Adriana, in Harvey and later Knoxville. She attended Knoxville School District and graduated with the Class of 2014. During her school years, she was very active in 4H and enjoyed playing volleyball. Following high school, she attended DMACC.
Amber enjoyed socializing with her friends, dancing, and she also had a passion for music and loved to sing! She was deep and caring and loved to help others. Amber’s family, her beloved dog, Taz, and fiancé, Jonny Gullion were the most important things to her. She loved them all dearly and will be forever missed by them all.
Visitation for Amber will be held on Monday, November 25, 2019 from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at Celebrate Community Church in Knoxville, with Amber's family present to greet friends and relatives. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at 10:30 A.M. at Celebrate Community Church. Following service, burial will be held at Graceland Cemetery.
Those left to cherish Amber’s memory include her parents, Tom and Holly Shinn of Knoxville; sister, Adriana (Dante) Dali of Greenville, NC; nephew, Timothy Dali; fiancé, Jonny Gullion; grandmother, Janice Brown of Shell Rock, IA; grandparents, Roger and Kathy Shinn of Knoxville; her beloved dog, Taz; also extended family members and friends.
Amber is preceded in death by her grandfather, Vinton Brown; and aunt, Hope Brown.
Amber had a true love for animals. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her memory to the Marion County Humane Society, 1701 E. Pleasant St., Knoxville, IA 50138.
