Al Chapman, age 84, of Knoxville, Iowa, passed away at his residence on January 5, 2023.
Al was born in DeWitt, Iowa, on January 31, 1938, the son of Ted and Violet Chapman. He was raised in Clinton, Iowa, and attended high school there.
Following high school, Al worked for a short time in factories and then became a truck driver at 26 years old. Driving a truck was his profession until his retirement at 75.
Al is survived by his wife, Joann Chapman; daughters, Amy and Joni, and her husband Tony; three brothers, Richard, Bruce, Terry; and one sister, Sherry. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Shane (Destiny), Kirstie (Brad), Kylie (Kegen), and Kadence; also four great-grandchildren, Scarlett, Sawyer, Brody, and Colt, plus one on the way.
Al is preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Violet Chapman; four sisters, and one brother.
