Shirley McCauley

Shirley (Jennings) McCauley was born March 20, 1935 at Yocum Hospital in Chariton to Harry and Maxine (Jones) Jennings. Shirley graduated from Chariton High School in 1953 and married Larry McCauley September 26, 1953. They were blessed with three children: Deborah, Douglas, and Denise. Shirley spent all her time with her family; children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. They were her hobbies.Shirley loved babies and they loved her. She was a retired Bingo player, daily newspaper puzzles, an avid NBA fan, occasionally tugged on a one-armed bandit, and had great fun taking her family shopping and watching them play sports. She dearly loved her friends and was blessed with many. She enjoyed traveling with family and friend alike and was a great cook. She was a one of a kind and to know her was to love her. We will forever love and miss her love and generosity. She is preceded in death by her parents: Harry & Maxine Jennings; brother, Robert Jennings; cousin, Randy Hickman; and nephew, Bruce Jennings. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Larry; children: Deborah (Greg) Peterson, Douglas (Deb) McCauley, and Denise McCauley; 7 grandchildren: Jeffrey, Alex, Evan, Ann, Ryan, Cole, and Samuel; 3 great grandchildren: Jaiden, Owen, Keagan, and two on the way; sister, Joyce (Don) Peterson; cousin, Tom (Gwen) Sinclair; along with many other friends. www.pierschbacherfuneralhome.com
