Sandra Lee Hoover

Sandra Lee Hoover, 56, of Albia, Iowa passed away at the Legacy Lodge Hospice House in Chariton, Iowa on March 3, 2015. Sandy was born on April 18, 1958 in El Dorado, Kansas to Keith and Dolly (Pratt) Bramwell. She graduated from El Dorado High School in 1976. Sandy really enjoyed putting jigsaw puzzles together, playing Skip-Bo and baking. She also loved to watch and play slow pitch softball. Sandy liked anything to do with Winnie the Pooh, the Care Bears and angels. She loved flowers, especially hollyhocks and lilacs. Although she was not a big animal lover, Sandy thoroughly enjoyed Jax, her son Skyler's dog. She was very capable of being stubborn. She was especially stubborn about having her picture taken and did what she could to avoid it. Above all else, Sandy enjoyed spending time with her family. Sandy will be greatly missed by her father, Keith Bramwell of Cherryville, North Carolina; her children: Thomas Vitale of Topeka, Kansas, Jason Vitale of Neodesha, Kansas, Miles Vitale of Indianola, Iowa, Destinie Hoover of New Virginia, Iowa, and Skyler Hoover of Albia, Iowa; her sisters: Sherry (Bryan) Wilson of Neodesha, Kansas, Robin (Rex) Hoover of El Dorado, Kansas, and Cindy (Sean) Baumgarner of Gastonia, North Carolina; her aunt, Farrell McDaniel of El Dorado, Kansas; and 11 grandchildren. Sandy was preceded in death by her mother, Dolly (Pratt) Bramwell and her sister, Debbie Ballinger. Memorials may be made to Sandy's family. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
