Reagan Thomas Hall died on November 10, 2017 at Circle of Life Hospice in Chariton, IA of liver failure and Chrone's disease. He was 64 years old. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, November 27, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cornerstone Community Church in Chariton, IA. Family will receive friends prior to the service, from 10:00 until 11:30 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the children's camp fund and other youth activities at the Cornerstone Community Church in Chariton, IA or toward youth activities at the Lewis Lake Covenant Church in Ogilvie, MN. Reagan was born in Minneapolis, MN to Owen and Ethel Hall on September 3, 1953. He grew up in the Lewis Lake area of Ogilvie, MN, where he attended a one room school house until 6th grade. At the age of nine, his father was killed in a farm accident. Reagan began to cook for the family, which is where his love for cooking developed into a lifelong passion. Reagan was employed for 25 years at the Holiday Inn Airport in Des Moines, IA. He began as a chef, then was the executive purchasing agent. He was employed for 34 years at the Good Life Retirement Center in Norwalk, IA. There he was the caretaker of the property; he loved taking care of the residents. Reagan enjoyed hunting and fishing with his brothers and family. He loved antique cars, owning a Model T and Model A. He owned an antique camera collection. He enjoyed camping with his children and supporting them in their various activities and hobbies. Reagan loved listening to Erin play the clarinet and piano. He enjoyed watching Elizabeth show her ponies, horses, rabbits, and poultry. He was very proud of his children. His four grandchildren also brought him such profound joy. Reagan is survived by his wife, Deborah; daughter, Erin Brooks; daughter, Elizabeth Hall (Wyndham Coffman); his grandchildren: Emma Rhodes, Jakob Rhodes, Rebekah Brooks, and McKenzie Brooks; his brothers, Randy (Mary) Hall and Richard (Melodee) Hall; sister, Suzanne (Carl) Reinhardt-Jones; sisters-in-law, Jennifer Hall and Anne Hall; and many nieces and nephews. Reagan was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers: Owen, Rocky, and Ed. A Celebration of Life Service will also be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the Lewis Lake Covenant Church in Ogilvie, MN. Visitation
