Rachel Ann Biddle was born May 9, 1950, twin to Richard, to Richard and Shirley Biddle in Pleasantville, Iowa. She grew up with her family in the Melcher-Dallas area. Many memories were made with her twin brother Richard and younger brother, Bill. They learned many lessons together, sticking together and making each other strong. She was in the Melcher-Dallas class of 1969. Rachel was blessed with two daughters: Viola Marie and Loretta and a son Andy. She was married to Larry Remster and lived in rural Williamson until his death in 1999. She married Rich Dobson in 2001 and they made their home in Melcher-Dallas. She had worked many different jobs including working at the Melcher-Dallas High School and the Preschool, she made donuts for several years at Casey's, cleaned houses, and enjoyed being a caretaker for those who needed a little extra help at home. Life for Rachel centered around her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. The grandchildren especially remember her reading the book, "Everyone Poops". She was a proud "Red Hatter" and enjoyed the meetings, socials, and annual camping trips with the club. She was also an active member of the Dallas Christian Church and was always there to help with a fundraising or funeral dinner held at the church. Anyone who was at her home remembers how she loved her dogs and decorating her kitchen with chicken knick-knacks. Rachel and Richard enjoyed taking walks through town with the dog on nice evenings. Rachel had her share of adversity losing her son, husband, and others. She also battled breast cancer and was cancer free for eleven years. Cancer returned about a year ago and she battled courageously without complaint. She always had a positive attitude and a deep faith to get her through. She passed away at home on September 11, 2020 with her family by her side. Rachel will be greatly missed by her husband, Rich Dobson; daughters: Viola Marie (David) Albright and Loretta Whitlow; foster daughter, Brenda (Phil) Bowen; grandchildren: Keith (Kim) Thompson, Amanda Thompson, Billie Jo (Dylan Leslie) Watson, William (Amber) Flesher, Nicole (Jon) Collins, Jacob (Alyssa) Robuck, and Hannah Whitlow; 16 great grandchildren; her twin brother Richard (Joyce) Biddle and brother Bill Biddle; along with many relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents: Richard and Shirley Biddle; son, Andy Parsons; husband, Larry Remster; sister, Linda Biddle; and great granddaughter, Kairi Torres.
