Patty Jean Marshall

Patty Marshall, 61, of Grimes passed away on April 30, 2022. It was Patty’s wish to not hold a visitation or funeral, but people are welcome to attend the burial of her ashes at Belmont Cemetery in Milo on May 23rd at 5pm.

Patty Jean (Hunter) Marshall was born on July 8, 1960, to Jerry and Judy (Peacock) Hunter in Des Moines, Iowa. She was raised in Milo, Iowa, graduating from Southeast Warren High School with the class of 1978.

Patty met Dennis Marshall through some mutual friends and the two were married on April 12, 1980, at the Christian Union Church in Milo. To this union, they were blessed with two sons: Daron and Gerald.

Patty and Dennis raised their family in Milo until a few years ago when they moved to Grimes. She loved to volunteer for different community organizations. A couple of committees she was a part of were the Warren County Democrats and the head of the SEW Drug and Alcohol Free Committee. Patty loved children and would help whenever possible.

With Patty, it was her way or the highway. She could be feisty at times.

Patty is survived by her husband, Dennis; sons: Daron and Gerald (Amber); grandchildren: Kaylee, Cooper, Benjamin, Lincoln, Harper, and Madilyn; and sister, Pam Hunter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Judy and sister, Peggy.
