Neil Carruthers

Neil Conrad Carruthers, 92, of Columbia passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021. Neil's wishes were to be cremated under the care of Pierschbacher Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, January 17 beginning at 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Chariton. Burial will take place at a later date in the Columbia Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Neil's honor to American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association, Columbia Fire Department, or Columbia United Methodist Church. Per Iowa corona virus guidelines, facemasks are required. Please practice social distancing. Mr. Carruthers, son of Ruby Hazel Bingaman Carruthers & Marion Ogden Carruthers was born in Columbia, Iowa on December 1, 1928. He is survived by his two sons David Ty of Bussey and Kevin Bart (Genevieve) of Rosemount, MN and Grand Daughter Grace Ruby of Rosemount, MN. He is preceded by his wife Norma.
