Lori Swarthout

Memorials ~ In care of the family to be decided at a later date. Lori Leian Swarthout was born November 8, 1962 to Don and Judy (Long) Swarthout. She attended school in Ft. Madison, Omaha, and Clarinda. Lori married Randy Geer of Clarinda in 1983, she was blessed with a daughter, Lacey in 1984 and grandson, Ajay in 2008. Lori was a pet store manager in Kansas City, MO and was also employed by the IRS. She enjoyed her time at the pet store and loved dogs. She was friendly, touched many people, and enjoyed her community. Her greatest joy in life was her grandson Ajay. Lori passed away September 5, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her daughter, Lacey Geer and friend Shawn, and grandson Ajay of Lincoln, NE; mother, Judy (Jerry) Huseman of Excelsior Springs, MO; father, Don (Doris) Swarthout of Pace, FL; grandmothers: Betty Swarthout of Chariton, IA and Mildred Long of Pepin, WI; sister, Teri (Steve) Swarthout Huwe of Excelsior Springs, MO; friend Steve Gerling of Kansas City, MO; and aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
