Harleys, fast cars, and a fast life – Butch lived, he lived his life to the fullest of his ability. He never missed an opportunity to spend time with family and old friends. Butch taught his children all about traveling, living life, working hard, and to be tight with your money.

Everyone knew you could find Butch enjoying life with a cold beer and cutting a rug. Always taking time to visit and make new friends. This is the Butch we all know.

Lloyd Carl Hedrick Jr. was born July 22, 1946, in San Antonio, Texas to Lloyd and Audna Hedrick. Lloyd was one of nine, following their father’s military career to many different homes throughout the country. Butch graduated from Knoxville High School in 1965 and entered the Air Force in 1969. In 1976 he was married to Cathy Swanson and they were blessed with 3 sons: Michael, Eric, and Kyn.

Butch made his home in the Pleasantville, Melcher-Dallas, and Indianola areas, living in Melcher-Dallas for over 30 years and currently residing in Indianola. Butch was self-employed selling and installing overhead doors, Hedrick Automatic Door. He loved to work and was still servicing and installing doors.

His family was the center of his life. He always made time for his boys and grandchildren. Butch’s home was always a place for the boys to hang out with their friends. He loved attending their school activities and absolutely loved seeing his grandchildren and watching their sports and extracurricular activities.

Not only was he close to his family, but his friends were just like family too. They rode Harleys together, sometimes across country, but always together and enjoying every minute. He considered himself lucky to have met his companion, Lisa Wilmes in 2008, and they became partners in life doing everything together.

Butch and Lisa Wilmes, were out living life just as Butch always did, when a tragic accident took their lives on June 12, 2021. Butch will be greatly missed by his sons: Michael Hedrick, Eric Hedrick, and Kyn (Brandon) Montgomery Hedrick; grandchildren: Skyler (Jory), Shane (Sidnee), Mason, and Brody; great grandchildren: Fletcher and River; siblings: Lynn, Kim, Robert, Roger, Diane, Dawn, Ray, and Tony; along with many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Carl Hedrick Sr. and mother, Audna “Vickie” Marie Roth.
