Lee Starckovich, 76, of Melcher-Dallas passed away at his home on December 19, 2015. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 23, at 10:00 a.m. at the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Indianola. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Melcher-Dallas. Interment will be at the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery near Germantown. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. Lee was born in December 10, 1939 in Moline, Illinois to Louie and Mabel (Moeschen) Starckovich. He went to school in Dallas and graduated in 1958. Lee was married to the love of his life, Faye Burk on March 20, 1960. They were blessed with four children: Tammie, Johnnie, Jerry, and Melissa. Lee went to work for Campbell Heating in Des Moines and then worked for John Deere in Ankeny retiring after 37 years. He will always be remembered for his deep faith, patience, kindness, tender heart, and his love for chatting. He adored his family and loved family gatherings with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lee is survived by his wife, Faye; children: Tammie (Daryl) Cockriel of Kansas City, Johnnie (Karla) Starckovich of Parnell, Iowa, Jerry Starckovich of Melcher-Dallas, and Melissa (Antonio) Rivera of Kansas City; 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; siblings: Robert (Karen) Starckovich of Bloomington, IL, and Jolene (Dennis) Weddingfeld of Wheat Ridge, CO; brother-in-law, Dallas Bradford of DeSoto; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Preceding him in death were his parents: Mabel and Louie; daughter-in-law, Tina Starckovich; and sister, Janette Bradford. Cemetery Details St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery Lacona, IA 50049
