Ken Johnson

Ken Johnson, husband of Jessica Towle Johnson, was tragically taken from this life on April 4, 2016 at the age of 38. Services will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Chariton. Family will receive friends prior to the service, from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m., at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Center Grove Cemetery in Westboro, Missouri at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. His love for his children was his driving force behind all of his accomplishments and successes. One of his and his family's proudest moments was when he received his Masters Degree from Iowa State University in 2013. Ken's passion for his work in digital forensics led him to a career he loved with KPMG and an amazing group of people to work with. He belonged to a very tight knit DFIR community and enjoyed sharing and receiving knowledge amongst this group. He came to love sharing his research across the country at conferences and meeting new people who had the same passions. Recently, Ken had acquired a taste for cigars and like his passion for everything he joined groups and has made friends at local lounges wherever his work took him. Ken also had a long standing passion of gaming. Some of his very best friends were the people he spent time with playing D&D or board games. His favorite times were showing his kids the strategy games on Xbox or board games. His kids are going to miss most seeing him walk through the door after a work trip, his sarcastic humor, his tickles and his talks at bed time. Ken enjoyed adventures with his family, whether it be exciting trips or trying new food. His biggest smiles came from enjoying life to the fullest. Ken is survived by his wife, Jessica, his two beautiful children, Savannah (14) and Brady (8), his mother, Nina Moore of Clarinda, IA, father, Wendell Johnson of Westboro, MO, grandma, Annabelle Johnson of Westboro, grandparents, Jim and Mildred Morrison of Tarkio, MO. Sisters, Kolette Johnson of Longview, TX, Karen (Jeff) Williams of Westboro, brother, Cody Johnson of Westboro. 6 nieces, 5 nephews.
