In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Miss Kelli's honor will be established at a later date. Kelli Renee Gould was born November 3, 1964 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Max and Lelis Gould. Kelli was the third of five children born to the couple. Due to her father's service in the military, the family moved around during her childhood. Kelli graduated from high school in Germany in 1982. On April 22, 1989, Kelli was united in marriage to Wayde Wilson at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland. The couple was blessed with three beautiful daughters: Sydney, Hannah, and Sarah. They chose to raise their family near Melcher-Dallas, Iowa. Kelli worked for a time as a child care provider. She loved working with children and went on to become a preschool teacher. Kelli taught preschool in Melcher-Dallas for 17 years. She was lovingly known by her students as Miss Kelli. In addition to being a wonderful teacher, Kelli was very active outside of her classroom. She helped with numerous programs, including: Dollars for Scholars, the Booster Club, summer reading programs, and she helped to run the public library. During the summer, Kelli also worked at the local clinic with Laurie Goff. Kelli was a very organized person. She knew right where everything was in her home and was happy to help her family find anything that they needed, as long as they let her know why they needed it. She was sassy and could brighten any room with her smile. She enjoyed playing games, especially Rummy, and was never known to lose. She loved reading a good book and watching a good movie with her family. Kelli also spent a lot of time at her mother-in-law's house, visiting and talking about her family. Kelli was a natural in the kitchen. She would glance at a recipe once in a while, but was able to create delicious meals without any help from a cookbook. Her family was especially fond of her pancakes, jello cake, white gravy, tamales, and homemade Mexican dinners. Kelli always planted a big garden and she loved being able to use what she grew in her cooking. Above all else, Kelli loved spending time with her family. She often worked on crafts and projects with her daughters. She enjoyed having them help her in the kitchen. Kelli enjoyed taking trips with Wayde and the girls. One of her favorite places to visit was Chesapeake Bay when they'd travel to Maryland to visit her side of the family. Kelli will be greatly missed by so many. She is survived by her parents, Max and Lelis Gould of Clinton, MD; husband of 27 years, Wayde Wilson; daughters: Sydney Wilson, Hannah Wilson, and Sarah Wilson; siblings: John (Peggy) Gould of Boerne, TX, Lori Gould of Clinton, MD, Max (Mary) Gould of Lexington Park, MD, and Michael Gould of Clinton, MD; parents-in-law, Tom and Brenda Wilson; brother-in-law, Kelly (Jennifer) Wilson; and many nieces nephews relatives and friends.
