Keith Petrosky, 44, of Lacona passed away Sunday, November 24, 2013 at his home. Keith was born to Frank & Elizabeth (Fulton) Petrosky in Vineland, New Jersey. He graduated from Vineland High School in 1987. After graduation Keith would attend Utah State University and would eventually finish his degree in Music Education from Mountain View College in Dallas, Texas. On November 23, 2000 he was united in marriage to Dawn Hamlin. Keith's musical talents with his guitar took him many places in life. He spent some time playing guitar for Jason Brown as they traveled throughout the Midwest and most recently played with the Barrel House Rockets in Winterset. Keith was a born musician and enjoyed playing guitar, cooking foods and listening to music from his Italian heritage. He used these talents to entertain on a volunteer basis at numerous charitable events. Keith also enjoyed cutting wood and bring it back to the house to have a warm fire. In Keith's mind there was nothing cozier than wood burning in the fireplace. Of all things he enjoyed, spending time with his family was atop the list. He enjoyed sitting in the yard with his children and watching 'Rocky' movies with his daughter Amanda. Survivors include, wife, Dawn Petrosky of Lacona, daughters: Christianna Petrosky of Taiwan, Kelsey Linton of Lacona, Amanda Petrosky of Lacona, granddaughter, Aubrey Schaffer of Lacona, sister, Sonya (Chuck) Coant of Vineland, N.J., mother, Elizabeth (Wayne) White of St. Petersburg, FL, step-mother, Valentina Petrosky of Amarillo, TX, and his grandmother Elizabeth Fulton of Vineland, N.J.. His father Frank Petrosky preceded him in death. Funeral mass will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 2, 2013 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Milo with Fr. Dean Nimerichter officiating. Visitation will be from 3-5:00 p.m., Sunday afternoon at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Lacona. Inurnment will be at a later date. Memorials may be given to the family.
