Judy Routh, 74, of Chariton passed away on May 4, 2020. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 8, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Chariton. Covid 19 restrictions at this point allow 50% capacity for the service, which is roughly 150 people, we will accommodate everyone that attends the service. Friends may pay their respects on Thursday from 2:00 pm until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home however, we are limited to no more than 10 people at one time. The funeral service on Friday, will be Live on our Facebook page - Pierschbacher Funeral Home, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Memorials in Judy's name will be donated to the Lucas County Veterans Memorial Park. Juliann Clark was born June 30, 1945 in Knoxville, Iowa to Arthur and Lola (Schneider) Clark. She was one of fourteen siblings. She grew up in the Melcher-Dallas area graduating from Melcher-Dallas High School in 1963. She was married to Gary Routh on August 30, 1963 and was blessed with 3 boys: Rick, Steve, and Allen. She had worked at Nestaway and Astoria in Chariton and then worked for the Chariton Schools as a custodian for many years. When thinking of Judy many describe her as outgoing, fun, lovable, and especially ornery. Her sisters and girl friends always thought of her as the ringleader. She loved to travel and was very adventurous always up to parasailing, skydiving, white water rafting, or anything that was a thrill. She loved the outdoors and would often go on walks at Red Haw in the Spring enjoying the Red Buds or looking for mushrooms with her friend Marilyn Evans. She loved being a mom and was always close to her family and extended family. She also enjoyed quilting, mostly giving her quilts to family, and going antiquing. Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Gary in 1995; parents: Arthur and Lola; siblings: Vivian Alton, Estelle White, Arthur "Skinner" Clark, Billy "Bill" Clark, Hubert Clark, Dwight "Jake" Clark, Marvin and Dorothy Clark, Gloid "Fritz" Clark, Delores (Dee Dee) Marks; and sisters-in-law: Betty Clark and Debbie Clark. Surviving are her children: Rick and Tricia Routh, Steve and Judy Routh, and Allen (Chrissy Atwell) Routh; grandchildren: Carly, Kevin, McKayla, Rachael, Dyllon, Nick, Brad, Michelle, Cameron, Tanya, Alyssa, Paige, Dalton, and Dillon; 21 great grandchildren and one on the way; siblings: Robert (Bob) Clark of Pekin, IL, Carrie (Jane) Forkner of Polk City, IA, Betty Jean Irving of Chariton, IA, and Leroy Clark of Chariton, IA; sisters-in-law: Nancy Clark of Melcher, IA, Elaine Clark of Nevada, IA, and Mary Ann Clark of New Jersey; longtime friends, Marilyn and Butch Evans; along with many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
