Juanita Van Veen

Juanita Van Veen, age 79, of Hamilton, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at the Monroe County Hospital, Hospice Room. Juanita was born on December 28, 1930 in Albia to Leo and Esther (Courtney) Gladson. On October 28, 1950, she married Martin 'Newt' Van Veen in Albia. To this marriage, they had three children: Juanita, Les, and Ron. Juanita was a homemaker and farmer her entire life. She enjoyed being with her family and watching her grandkids grow up. She is survived by her three children: Juanita (Charles) Wilson of Lovilia, Les Van Veen of Hamilton, and Ron (Sheila) Van Veen of Hamilton; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and eight siblings: Patricia, Ruth, Carol, Sue, Donald, Glen, Cliff, and Stan. Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and one brother, Leo Gladson.
